2021 Annual Letter from the Homeowner Association President
Hello Neighbor,
On behalf of the Homeowners Association Board, I would like to extend warm greetings to all residents of Dominion Station as we approach the holiday season. This was a year of transition for many of us as we attempted to return to a new normal. Many of the projects we had scheduled for 2020 were rolled forward into 2021. We repaved all of our neighborhood streets and completed a number of concrete projects throughout the community. After a one month delay we re-opened our pools with neighborhood lifeguards. Finally, we also opened our new gym in the basement of the Clubhouse for all residents of the Townhome and Condos. During our Fall Open House we signed up ~12 additional residents/tenants for gym access and continue to accept applications weekly. The BOD will be earmarking more money towards tree trimming in the out years as common area tree work has become our priority.
This upcoming years the BOD will also be shifting our priority to providing more equitable parking for all residents. With the streets now repaved and a more manageable distribution of visitor to open spaces throughout the neighborhood (with the exception of Baggett and Thompson (that area of the community is 100% open spaces)) the BOD has decided adopt a new parking program; Online Parking Pass (https://www.getonlineparking.com). This new program will require residents to purchase resident and/or visitor hangtags for a cost of $19/year. The BOD will also required that any resident requesting an open space hangtag to have at least TWO vehicles registered per household. Our goal throughout the community is to develop a program that allows for the most equitable parking for all residents. We have included additional information on the new parking program in this mailer. The owner of Online Parking Pass will also join us at our Virtual Annual Meeting on 16 NOV @ 6PM to offer a tutorial of the new program and answer any resident questions. For the sake of time and to control the meeting better we ask that if you have questions related to the new parking program to directed them to mburdock@sfmcinc.com NLT 5:00PM 15 NOV.
As we continue to make improvements to our community both in safety and aesthetics we’ve done so with fiscal discipline in an attempt to not raise HOA fees for our residents. For the ninth straight year, we are keeping monthly dues at $110/month. We have worked the past eight years to find efficiencies in our budget and maximize our spending power.
