Snow Plowing Update

Print PDF

Our plowing company (Fairfax Paving and Concrete) has brought in additional equipment to help widen the lanes.

Remember, to please move your cars out of the way, so that the plows can do their job.

For those curious, you can track the Loudoun County plows at VDOT's website.

Updated 1/26 4:00pm: FPC is currently working to improve Box Car and Iron Horse.  Grand Central, Reading, Golden Spike and Trestle will be next on the list to get additional improvements and widening.  The large issue is where to put the snow.  Unused visitor spaces and dead-ends have been identified to store the snow for now.  When possible, the visitor spaces will be cleared as well.

FPC has been doing an amazing job, and we greatly appreciate all of their efforts to keep our community accessible and safe.  Loudoun county plow services are also working extremely hard to improve the main roads, as well as provide access to each community.

Snow Plowing

Update: Our plowing contractors (Fairfax Paving and Concrete) have worked extremely hard during the storm, and have successfully opened up one lane through all the community roads.  They will return Monday and Tuesday to continue to clear the snow.

Magnolia and Blossom roads have a single lane through, but are still covered in snow. Loudoun County will plow these streets when they are available.

It is very important to keep cars out of the way of plows on all streets.

New Trash Policy

In order to combat a growing wild animal problem in the community, a new trash Policy Resolution 2015-01 has been passed by the Board of Directors.

Effective immediately, any trash that is put out the night before collection day has to be in secure containers with a lid, or in heavy duty contractor bags.  If trash not in a secure container is to be put out, it can only be done so the morning of collection days (Tuesday and Friday).
